Our Patient Services Team has vacancies for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work alongside our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital's Admissions and Reception. As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will be to: Perform a broad range of administration duties including: o Manage a busy reception desk, answer and redirect calls o Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records o Perform Health Fund Checks as required o Manage the collection of excesses/co payments o Coordinate with staff from other departments o Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry o Ward Receptionist Selection Criteria: · Well-developed strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem solving and decision making abilities to ensure excellence in customer service · Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment · Strong attention to detail · Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) · The ability to work both independently and within a team · Must have the availability to work a variety of shifts at short notice – 5:30am start and 8pm finish shifts and weekend work will be required on a casual basis · Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority.
