This permanent part time position offers a chance to be on your feet delivering comprehensive administrative support! Working a variety of non-standard hour shifts, this role will provide professional and high-quality reception, data entry, filing, analysis functions and administrative support within the Medical Records team. Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region. A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a center for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities. About the role: Provide comprehensive administrative support within the various clinical units and service areas of the Gladstone Hospital while providing a professional and high-quality customer service to the general public, patients/clients, staff and visitors. About you: To be successful in this role you must have: Well-developed problem solving, consultation, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to establish work priorities to meet deadlines without the need for direct supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive matters appropriately. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the possession of tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with staff and the public.
