The facility is open Monday to Friday and hours may vary.The Administration Officer position is responsible for assisting the Administration Manager and the Front Reception staff with maintaining high quality administration services including reception, patient admissions, preparation of health fund claim forms, basic accounting services and other general administration duties.An opportunity exists for a skilled and experienced individual to join our valued team of professionals who pride themselves on offering outstanding service and high-quality care to all patients.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Reception/Customer Service and Administration dutiesAnswering telephones and redirecting callsHealth Fund claim forms preparationPreparation of medical records and clinician supportFund management for patient's admissionsScheduling theatre operating listsLiaising with Doctors and Staff of different Specialist roomsOther administration and clerical dutiesThe successful applicant will demonstrate:Work experience as an administration officer in an acute or day surgery healthcare environmentCommitment to the provision of quality and exceptional customer experienceDemonstrated previous experience in the use of health management information systems and extensive data entry capability Understanding of admission process, PMI, scanning, patient documentation.Demonstrated ability and experience in thinking critically, problem solving and working independently and interdependently within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal quality and safe outcomes for patients.Superior communication skills, verbal and writtenMedical terminologyHave experience with FYDO patient management system and DOX is preferredAn understanding of Health Funds and hospital coverBe able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environmentHave the ability to prioritise workload and work under pressureA positive manner and excelled customer serviceDemonstrated high level of confidentiality and supporting patient's privacy and dignityAn enthusiastic approach in the delivery of a high standard of service careDemonstrated willingness and flexible approach to work requirements and changing work practicesDemonstrated positive, "can do" attitude and approach to working as part of a team.Proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, TB or willingness to be vaccinated for immunity prior to commencement.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentPlease note all applicants must currently possess the right to work in Australia.Cura Day Hospitals Group offers excellent career opportunities for nurses, health professionals, support staff and managers.
