This isn't your typical admin role – you'll be the key contact for patients as they receive life-changing care. Your support will be essential in ensuring their journey runs smoothly, from initial appointments to billing and discharge.In addition to administrative and patient support duties, you'll also play a key role in the coordination of site maintenance. Working closely with the Site Manager and reporting to the Administration Team Leader, you will handle routine and unexpected maintenance tasks. From liaising with contractors for odd jobs to handling removals and maintenance requests, you'll ensure the site is well-maintained and any issues are addressed promptly.This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced and meaningful environment, providing secretarial and reception support across our Surgical, Radiation Therapy, Oncology, and Haematology departments. It's not just about managing paperwork – it's about being part of a team that truly impacts the lives of patients and their families.Key Responsibilities:Be the warm and friendly face that welcomes patients and collects their detailsCoordinate and schedule critical treatment appointmentsManage and triage referrals for surgery, radiation, and medical oncology treatmentsAnswer patient queries with empathy, both in person and over the phoneEnsure all billing is processed accurately and handle daily banking with precisionTrack patient progress through their treatment, making sure administrative needs are handled smoothlyMaintain organized, up-to-date patient recordsCoordinate routine and unexpected maintenance tasks to keep the site running smoothlyLiaise with contractors for various maintenance jobs, removals, and odd tasks as neededWork closely with the Site Manager on site upkeep while reporting to the Administration Team LeaderBe familiar with medical terminology and health claims processes, including Medicare, Private Health Insurance, and DVAWhat We're Looking For:We're searching for a proactive, compassionate individual who excels in a medical administration role. You'll need to be organized, detail-oriented, and ready to provide exceptional service to patients during what can be an emotional and challenging time.
