26th September, 2024 About the role Our client, the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth, is dedicated to rigorously applying the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards which align with the National Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Child Sexual Abuse 2021-2030 and the Western Australia National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
This Administration Officer role supports the Director and other Safeguarding staff to implement and uphold the Archdiocese commitment to child safety.
The role of the Administration Officer is to provide professional administrative support, encompassing a wide variety of tasks to the Safeguarding Office while maintaining close working relationships with other Safeguarding staff, clergy, parishes, agencies, organisations, ministries and external stakeholders and provide professional administrative support to the WA Professional Standards Office (WAPSO).
Key duties will include: Stakeholder management including contributing to engagement through greeting guests and customers and arranging face-to-face meetings, and/or teleconferences, communique, and website updates.
Administrative support including monitoring emails and providing responses, drafting communications, preparing reports, data management and filing.
Compliance support through managing sensitive and escalating issues.
Scheduling meetings, catering, appointments, conferences and travel.
Office resource management of supplies and equipment maintenance About You We are seeking a self-motivated, community minded person who shares our client's values, particularly of compassion and service.
You will be equally comfortable work independently as you are collaborating with our team and importantly all you will display a service mindset.
Experientially you will have strong computer, communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness and capacity to support the Catholic ethos.
If successful in securing the position, you will require a valid National Police Clearance, Western Australian Driver's Licence and proof of Right to Work in Australia.
