Working within the Treaty Negotiations and Strategy Division, the Administration Officer will support the delivery of division priorities by providing responsive administrative and project management support to the executive team and to teams across the division.
This is a unique opportunity for a high performing and motivated person to work in a ground-breaking area, as the Victorian Government pursues Treaty in genuine partnership with Aboriginal Victorians.

As the Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality, responsive, and confidential secretarial, administrative, and executive support to the Treaty Negotiations and Strategy Division executives, including diary, email, and file management. Other responsibilities include managing communications and approvals with integrity and autonomy, assisting with stakeholder meetings and events, supporting project administration and maintaining document management systems.

Well developed interpersonal and negotiation skillsWell developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to initiate, deliver and manage strategic projects on time and to a high standardDemonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situationsAn understanding of systemic State intersections with marginalised or vulnerable groupsA passion for treaty and justice for Victoria's First PeoplesPlease note that an understanding of and commitment to the rights of First Peoples in Victoria, including cultural rights, self-determination, Treaty and truth is expected in this role.
