THIS IS A 24-MONTH FIXED-TERM, FULL-TIME POSITION (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION OR PERMANENCY) THIS POSITION IS BASED IN GERALDTON (WITH TRAVEL TO CUE AND THUNDELARRA) APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON THURSDAY, 26 SEPTEMBER 2024 The Midwest Region extends along the coast from Lancelin in the south to north of Carnarvon then inland past Meekatharra.
The regional headquarters is in Geraldton.
District offices are located at Geraldton, Jurien Bay and Denham, with District work centres at Carnarvon, Monkey Mia, Kalbarri, Cervantes and Lancelin.
The lands and waters we manage are varied and beautiful, from coastal cliffs, dunes and heath to rich marine communities to outback ranges and vast scrublands.
We currently have an opportunity for an Administration Officer to join our team.
Under the immediate direction of the Finance and Administration Coordinator, this position: Provides high quality customer service to internal and external clients and visitors.
Provides financial and records management support and advice to the Murchison District.
Maintains office systems, procedures, and filing and assists staff in administrative matters.
Provides administration, finance and basic Information Technology (IT) support to remote operational staff.
Provides administration support to recruitment processes, including preparation of associated documentation.
This role provides administrative, financial and IT support to a number of remote locations in the district and therefore involves regular overnight/multi-day travel to provide direct on-site support.

Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following five (5) criteria.
These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.
Experience in office procedures, records management including electronic records management, and secretarial and administrative functions.
Experience in financial administration including payroll systems, processing and paying accounts, accounts receivable and banking.
Experience in the use of and application of personal computers, including word processing, excel spreadsheets and access databases with a preference for someone with experience using Share Point.
Evidence of well-developed oral and written communication, interpersonal, team participation, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Willing and able to undertake overnight/multi-day travel to remote office locations.
