Who are we?
Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.
About the role:
The Administration Officer provides administrative and operational support to the Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Senior Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of SEWB programs within clinics and to the community. A key component of this role is to manage information flow and communication to ensure effective integration of SEWB services, and engagement/reporting with staff and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-level administrative support to the SEWB Senior Manager as required.
Assist in the development, drafting, and review of policies and procedures relevant to SEWB.
Responsible for maintaining and managing the whole of service emails relevant to SEWB and ensuring all emails are actioned in a timely manner.
Maintain SEWB share point and support continuous improvement and standardisation of share point procedures.
Develop and maintain external stakeholder communications to ensure effective processes for client care and service integration projects.
Support and coach other SEWB administration officers and act as backup when required.
Collaborate with other SEWB administration officers to retrieve client data and assist in developing reports.
Assist and coordinate the development of health promotion materials and health promotion event planning/implementation.
To be successful you will need:
Demonstrated knowledge and two years or more experience in a similar role that illustrates your abilities in maintaining effective administration and record systems.
High level of administrative and organisational skills, including experience managing workload timeframes.
Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with Aboriginal people from diverse backgrounds and people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating specialist services and liaising with service providers.
Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history and an understanding of social and emotional well-being issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with an ability to plan, manage and prioritise tasks and resources to deliver outcomes within time and budget considerations.
Ability to acquire appropriate family and social information to assist with organising appointments and clinics and an understanding of confidentiality.
Demonstrated written skills in the preparation of reports, general correspondence, and documentation, as well as demonstrated computer skills.
Reliable and punctual with a high level of self-motivation.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.
Experience working in the Aboriginal community-controlled sector.
Cert III or IV Business Administration.
What we offer:
6 weeks annual leave per annum.
5 days paid leave during end of year shutdown period (on top of annual leave).
Salary packaging of up to $15,990 per annum.
