We work to improve the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system.As the single independent regulator of Australian Government aged care services, we offer a variety of interesting and challenging jobs across most capital cities.It is an exciting time to join the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, with major reforms underway to improve aged care in Australia. You will be contributing to our role as the national regulator to safeguard and protect older Australians receiving aged care services.About the TeamThe Provider Registration function is a key element of the new aged care regulatory model. It will change the way providers enter the system and is part of the Australian Government's new model for regulating aged care. Provider registration was introduced under the new Aged Care Act Bill which is expected to come into effect 1 July 2025. More information about the Reform changes for providers is available on the Commission's website.To support this new function, the Commission is establishing a Provider Registrations team which will be responsible for assessing and registering entities seeking to deliver aged care services. This team will be established from the current Provider Approvals team which currently assess applicants who seek to provide residential, home, and flexible care under the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act 2018.About the RoleAs an Administration Officer you will be responsible for managing assigned mailboxes, handling submissions and enquiries, and ensuring that work is prioritised and directed to assessors and senior assessors as required. You will also be responsible for updating or entering information into the case management systems to support administrative tasks, contributing to business outcomes and operations.Position duties include, but are not limited to:Proactively manage inboxes, enquiries, and submissions, ensuring tasks are prioritised and delegated to the appropriate assessors/senior assessors in a timely manner.Demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, ensuring effective management of workflows and maintaining high attention to detail across all tasks.Effectively use case management systems to support the team and may be required to undertake case administrative tasks and tracking progress to ensure all data and records are accurately maintained.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a professional and customer service-focused approach in all interactions.Manage assigned work in an environment with competing priorities, meeting defined deliverables and expected outcomes.Proactively collaborate with team members in a geographically dispersed environment, contributing to a positive and productive team atmosphere.Under limited supervision, deliver quality outcomes, show initiative, and work independently to achieve business priorities.Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the team's objectives and respond to organisational needs.Salary offered will be between $77,481 - $81,869 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.Roles are offered on an Ongoing/Non-Ongoing basis, with non-ongoing roles offered for an initial period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of one extension up to an additional 12 months.Applications close on Sunday 5th January 2025, 11:30PM AEDT.
