We have a new opportunity for a Medical Administration Officer to join the team at our Icon Cancer Care Centre Canberra.
This is a permanent, part-time role providing administration, secretarial and reception support for the centre.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate appointments are booked, patients are billed correctly, and paperwork processed accurately and in a timely fashion.
This role will report to the Administration Manager, working full-time hours during our hours of operation.
Key Responsibilities:Welcoming patients, collecting and entering personal detailsScheduling appointmentsAnswering telephone calls and responding to enquiriesFee discussions and processing patient billingMonitoring and assessing the administration care path of all patientsMaintaining and managing patient informationSupporting Icon's WHS Officers and committees to effectively carry out their responsibilitiesModelling and promoting Icon's vision and values. About you:
We are looking for an experienced Administration Officer with experience in the healthcare industry and outstanding customer service to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, personable and enthusiastic about the role.
Skills & Experience:Experience in a similar role within the Healthcare industryExperience with Medicare DVA and Private HealthExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to communicate with clarity both verbally (face-to-face and telephone) and writtenAbility to use computer systems – competence required in Word and ExcelDelivery of excellent client service (to internal and/or external clients)About Icon:
