We are looking for experienced administration staff to join our team and help deliver services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people.Join the team in our Brisbane office in a role that offers work/life balance and career progression.The Grants Division (Brisbane and regional offices) administers funding for legal services in line with federal and state government funding priorities.
The Division processes more than 44,000 new legal aid applications each year and manages ongoing files to finalisation.As an administration officer you will liaise with clients and solicitors about their request for review of a decision about an application for legal aid, or contribution towards the costs of an Independent Children's Lawyer.You will also provide administrative support to the external review, financial and compliance management functions of the division.About youYou have attention to detail and demonstrated administrative experience following procedures from start to finish.You communicate effectively with clients with complex needs, colleagues and internal/external stakeholders.You have experience using a range of information technology systems and can demonstrate the ability to learn new systems quickly.You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are able to work both independently and as part of a team.Why work for us36.25 hrs per week (full time hours)12.75% employer super contributionsGenerous salary packaging availableStudy leave for approved work-related courses.Closes: 12 January 2025Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.
