Join the team in our Brisbane office in a role that offers work/life balance and career progression. The Grants Division (Brisbane and regional offices) administers funding for legal services in line with federal and state government funding priorities. The Division processes more than 44,000 new legal aid applications each year and manages ongoing files to finalisation.
As an administration officer, you will liaise with clients and solicitors about their request for review of a decision regarding an application for legal aid or contribution towards the costs of an Independent Children's Lawyer.
You will also provide administrative support to the external review, financial, and compliance management functions of the division.
About YouYou have attention to detail and demonstrated administrative experience following procedures from start to finish. You communicate effectively with clients with complex needs, colleagues, and internal/external stakeholders. You have experience using a range of information technology systems and can demonstrate the ability to learn new systems quickly. You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
