The Administration Officer will contribute to the functional area of Disability, Seniors and Carers for the department. The Administration Officer will provide professional, quality and timely business and administrative support to the division with respect to management of human resources, finances, information technology, assets, purchasing and general administration. The role will assist in developing, monitoring and evaluating systems and processes to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Division's resources. The role will assist the Manager and the department to achieve its vision through a performance driven and customer focused culture that delivers results.
Key duties and responsibilities
• Provide timely, high quality business and administrative support regarding the management of human resources, finances, information technology, assets, purchasing and general administration of the division.
• Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining effective business support and administration systems and processes to ensure the effective management of
the division's resources.
• Assist in coordinating, tracking and quality assuring a range of written materials that support advice to government, including correspondence, briefing material, and information papers concerned with the initiatives delivered by the work area.
• Actively participate in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders within and across government and broader human services networks.
• Contribute to a professional environment through personal commitment to ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement.
• As a member of the team, undertake tasks allocated by the Manager and other staff in a constantly changing work environment to support innovation and efficient delivery.
