McEvoy Mitchell Racing has an exciting job opportunity to support our Administration team in the role of Administration Officer. The role will involve working with a small, passionate team to assist with general and racing administration. This role's working hours and days are flexible between 30 - 38 hours per week for the right candidate - Monday to Friday, and is based out of our stables in Ballarat, Victoria. About you We are looking for a team player with strong organisational skills - no two days are the same and there is plenty of scope to grow and learn in this role. You will have:
A sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage ongoing tasks The ability to maintain confidentiality across all areas of the organisation Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service Great communication skills and the ability to work with a small, close-knit team Working knowledge of a computer is required, including proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience with Prism and Xero is desirable but on the job training will be provided. Duties include Fulfil general administration duties, including but not limited to answering phones, responding to queries and replying to e-mails, managing office supplies etc. Manage the registration and naming of yearlings, ownership transfers, syndicate registrations and lease paperwork. Manage and prepare colours and ID cards for race days and trials Assist with accounts payable, including entering invoices and oncharging bills Providing ad hoc administration support to the Trainers, Racing Manager and Sales/Marketing Team General data entry through Prism and Xero There are also opportunities to assist on race days and jump out/trial mornings for applicants with relevant horse experience.
