We are seeking an Administration Officer to join our team and support our Association and science teachers nationwide through their state and territory associations.
This remote role is permanent part-time for 18 hours per week at hourly pay rate $28.69 + superannuation. We offer a flexible working arrangement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a balance between professional and personal commitments.

ABOUT YOU We are looking for a highly organised individual with demonstrated experience working in administration and accounts, ideally within a small business.
You will need to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time, and be good at building relationships and communicating with external stakeholders.
Do you have experience supporting a bookkeeper by creating client invoices, uploading invoices for them to pay and doing reconciliations in Xero?
This role would suit someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple responsibilities across the areas of administration, accounts, operations and project management. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy working in a collaborative environment while also being self-driven to complete tasks autonomously.
SELECTION CRITERIA We are looking for someone with the following strengths: Essential Data processing : Use validation and verification techniques with a high level of meticulousness to implement high volume data, correct data errors and inconsistencies, ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
Financial: Understanding of accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, budgets and financial reports.
Computer literacy skills : Knowledge of accounts software, spreadsheets and CRMs.
Strong communication skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective and clear oral and written communication, particularly as it relates to problem solving and the ability to foster relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, manage conflicting deadlines and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
A team player: Able to work with diverse teams, provide strategic and operational support to all levels and develop collaborative, supportive professional relationships.
Preferred Experienced using Xero
