TCA is a not for profit membership-based organisation – it currently employs 18 staff across and is governed by a Board of 12 people.We are responsible for marketing Central Australia providing member businesses with advice and industry insights and support, operating the Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Visitor Information Centres and advocating to Government and stakeholders on behalf of our members for pro-tourism policies and developments.As a business led organisation, we work in partnership with a wide variety of stakeholders including individuals, businesses and all levels of government, to benefit the visitor economy in Central Australia.The RoleReporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, this role is responsible for coordination of all executive support and administrative services to TCA.This is a permanent part-time role, and hours of work will be negotiable to the right applicant. Additional hours may be required for TCA and industry events including the occasional evening or weekend.Key TasksGeneral administrative duties including but not limited to:Providing executive administrative support where requiredProcessing of internal and external communicationCoordination and planning of staff and member eventsFiling and record maintenanceAdhere to TCA operational policies and proceduresInteract with TCA members on an Ad-hoc basis and maintain cohesive working relationshipsInternal customer service - providing support to the team in a responsive and timely mannerPerform basic bookkeeping tasks and data entryAssist with inventory stock takes and other relevant tasksAssistance with maintaining the office and assets of the organisationUpdate and maintain compliance protocols subject to instructionOther duties as directed by the Finance and Admin Manager and CEO.PERSON SPECIFICATION – for recruitment and selectionStrong computer literacy with a proven ability in MS office products at a minimumDemonstrated experience in and enjoyment of an administration environmentEnthusiastic and motivatedAbility to work consistently, prioritise and manage a variety of tasksDemonstrated experience in working on confidential projectsDemonstrated accuracy, attention to detail and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work co-operatively and effectively in a small team environmentOther RequirementsPlease be aware that if successful in gaining employment in this role you will be required to undergo a National Police CheckIs this you?Please submit your CV plus a covering letter demonstrating your response to the selection criteria by Friday 4th October 2024.
