The GF(X) Administration Officer supports the GF(X) Manager in the management of Government Furnished Material, Information, Data, and Equipment (collectively described as GF(X)) for SSPD, including for Project Controls, Governance, Reporting, Schedule, WBS and Cost Estimates, Budget, Storage, Auditing and Delivery.
About our Team Sovereign Submarine Program Delivery Branch (SSPD) is accountable for identifying, in consultation with Australia's AUKUS partners, the most appropriate program delivery model and construction methodology, defining the infrastructure requirements, analysing and modelling the existing Australian industry and workforce capability and capacity, and undertaking the cost estimation of acquiring and sustaining the future Nuclear Power Submarine fleet. SSPD consists of the following directorates, Business and Operations, Build Test and Evaluation, Commercial Management, Engineering and Ship Yard Infrastructure.
The GFX team interacts daily with all specialists within the SSPD and ASA. Additionally, the GFX team routinely interacts with foreign government officials, the Australian shipbuilder and other third parties. This requires the successful candidate to have a strong understanding of security, export and information controls as well as detailed record keeping. These facilitate the maintenance and enhancement of trust within established and fledgling networks and the easy resolution of friction through facts. Our ideal candidates will bring the following attributes and skills to the role: Assist with solving very complex contracting problems and issues, including with detailed or sensitive projects, that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for ASA Detailed understanding in government decision-making processes, experience in ASDEFCON templates beneficial; Identifying relevant stakeholders' expectations and concerns and managing accordingly.
Highly developed communications skills both orally and written; Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with stakeholders; The ability to build and sustain effective relationships and actively participate in activities with Australian Shipbuilder and ASA; Preparation of correspondence and briefs.
