About the Position : An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced person to join the Shire of Broome as an Administration Officer - Environmental Health and Events.
This position is responsible for providing effective administrative and customer service support to the Development Services Directorate, focusing on public health and regulatory services of Environmental Health and administrative support for Events in accordance with legislation, Council Policy, and modern work methods.
This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start.
Standard working hours are Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm with Rostered Day Off accruals.
About You : The ideal candidate will demonstrate well-developed customer service skills and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
In addition to high-level administrative ability, they will be well-organized and have an eye for detail.
A positive attitude to work is essential, as is the ability to show initiative and work unsupervised within a small professional team.
Previous experience in local government or similar work environments will be highly regarded.
Desired Skills and Experience : Starting base salary per annum of $60,476 (depending on experience & qualification). Generous allowances of $6,214 Broome Location Allowance and employer matched superannuation.
