About us:
Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region.
A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity.
Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient, and day surgery excellence.
This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.
About the role:
To provide timely, high level, quality, confidential administrative support service to the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) as required.
These positions are appointed to CQHHS and to meet requirements the positions may be required to cover multiple departments.
Shift times outside of core business hours may be required as per operational needs.
Organise and coordinate various meetings, including but not limited to, the taking and distribution of agendas and minutes.
Liaise and communicate with staff of all levels and streams within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service and representatives of other agencies, community, and private organisations.
Help identify, develop, and implement strategies and work practices which improve workflow, efficiency and effectiveness.
About you:
Ability to plan, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads, whilst working autonomously and to be flexible in a changing work environment.
Use initiative to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and to resolve problems.
Ability to maintain discretion, act professionally, patiently and display a calm and confident approach when conversing with consumers.

What we offer:
Salary information:
An hourly rate between $47.74 - $53.09 p.h.
(including 25% casual loading) 12.75% employer superannuation contribution Other benefits include:
