We offer flexible and hybrid work options and genuinely care about providing our staff work/life balance.About the roleThis position is part of a team providing support to the Building Maintenance Unit at the Operations Centre.Provide administrative support services to the Building Maintenance unit.First port of call for customer enquiries, issues, and breakdowns.Provide a high level of customer service to citizens and assistance to Council staff on a wide range of matters relating to Council Buildings.Operate all IT systems and programs proficiently to ensure high levels of service and support, including input into Council's Assetic system which contains our Buildings data, contractor information and order system.Work within existing spread of hours and fortnightly 23.5 hours / 4-day fortnight working arrangements (Two Days per Week Thursdays and Fridays).Skills and experience required to perform the roleData entry as required to update and maintain a range of databases including Assetic Asset Management system and My-Data.Raise and process purchase orders.Prepare invoices for works undertaken/reinstatements carried out by Council.Word processing including general correspondence, Council reports, contract documentation, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, emails, and other reports as required.Provision of standard letters and liaison for Council's ½ Cost Fencing programme with private residents.Plan, order, and issue keys to staff and community groups in accordance with Council policies.We are looking for someone who isPassionate about the community and delivering a positive customer experience both internally and externally.Willing to be flexible and understands IT systems.A real team player happy to help with all enquiries.Excellent writing and communication skills.What the role can offerExtensive opportunities for training & career development.Salary sacrifice options.A real sense of work-life balance & flexible work options.Employer-supported study assistance schemes.Wellness programs.Further support offered for our staffUp to 20 weeks primary & up to 5 weeks secondary parental leave.Purchase leave.Ceremonial leave.Gender affirmation leave.Family violence leave.For further information about this position please contact Rob Ferrarin on 8311 4311.Applications close: 11:30pm, Tuesday, 3 December 2024Please note that when applying for this role, you may be required to attach your valid Driver's Licence.
