Permanent, Part-time Opportunity

Highlighting the importance of this role

An opportunity exists for an organised and self-motivated individual to join our team as an Administration Officer on a part-time basis. Your exceptional administrative skills will provide crucial support to the Service Manager and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the Bundaberg Children, Youth and Family Service. Occasional travel to provide support to our surrounding services may be required, dependent on business needs.

In this varied role, you will manage administrative tasks such as:

Answering phone, website and counter enquiries;

Managing travel arrangements, rosters and client billing;

Generating reports;

Maintaining and ensuring the security and confidentiality of office files and records;

Financial administration – accounts payable and petty cash.

What you can bring to the team

Professional administrator with office experience and high-level computer skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Well-developed communication skills and excellent phone manner allow you to confidently engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You can confidently use Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

An individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and pays attention to detail. Your can-do attitude and proactive approach enables you to be efficient and reliable.

To be suitable for the position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:

A Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent;

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);

Excellent organizational and time management skills;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Pre-requisite

Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Blue Card (Working with Children), Licensed Care Service (Child Protection) and a National Police Clearance.
