About Us Beef Breeding Services is one of Australia's most comprehensive and up-to-date specialist bovine genetic and reproduction centres. We operate an export Government-approved bovine semen collection centre at Etna Creek, along with storage and dispatch centres in Rockhampton and Wacol. We provide a range of reproductive services, including artificial insemination, semen collection, evaluation, processing, and freezing services for seed stock producers. Additionally, we manage a large inventory of semen and embryos for domestic and international clients, along with imports of genetic material. Our offerings also include artificial insemination training and providing products and medications for reproductive programs.
About the Role This Administration / Logistic Officer role is a maternity leave cover position with the potential for extension. Located at our Wacol site, the position offers an immediate start and a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Acting as the first point of contact for Beef Breeding Services
- Handling product and service inquiries
- Managing general administrative tasks (phones, emails, filing)
- Entering and verifying data accuracy across multiple systems
- Maintaining genetic material inventory records
- Locating, packing, dispatching, and tracking genetic material shipments
- Assisting with minor laboratory tasks
- Ordering supplies for office and lab needs
Key Responsibilities - Deliver professional, timely communication with clients
- Input packing slips and generate invoices
- Follow up on overdue customer accounts
- Support administrative aspects of semen marketing
- Maintain accurate records of genetic material transactions
- Ensure effective management of genetic material inventory
- Contribute to a safe, positive working environment
- Uphold a supportive team culture and assist with the role's varied dynamics
- Support the goal of delivering excellence in reproductive services and genetic material supply
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Centre Manager
Skills & Experience - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; openness to learning new IT tools

Working Hours - Casual: 3-4 days per week
