Role[Attendance requirement for this position]The School Administrative Assistant will play a pivotal role in the efficient operation of the school.This position involves a wide range of administrative and clerical duties, including managing the front office, supporting the principal and staff, and ensuring effective communication within the school community.The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Office Management:Greet and assist visitors, parents, students, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle correspondence.Maintain the school's filing system, ensuring documents are organized and accessible.Manage inventory of office supplies and place orders as necessary.Administrative Support:Provide administrative support to the Principal and Business ManagerSchedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.Prepare reports, letters, presentations, and other documents as requested.Assist with the preparation and distribution of school communications, such as newsletters and bulletins.Student and Staff Records:Maintain accurate and up-to-date student and staff records, including attendance, first aid requirements of students, and parent / carer contact information.Communication and Coordination:Serve as a point of contact for students, parents, and staff regarding school policies, events, and procedures.Coordinate with teachers, staff, and external agencies to support student services and activities.Assist in the organization and execution of school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open nights and school assemblies.Compliance and Confidentiality:Ensure compliance with school policies, Department of Education regulations, and state laws.Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.Other Duties:Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and Business Manager to support the overall mission of the school.Assist with emergency procedures and protocols as needed.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.EEO AND OHS CommitmentApplicants seeking part-time employment are encouraged to apply for any teaching service position and, if they are the successful candidate, request a reduced time fraction.Such requests will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to the operational requirements of the school.The Department of Education (the department) is committed to the principles of equal opportunity, and diversity and inclusion for all.We value diversity and inclusion in all forms -
