Employment Type: Term Time, Permanent (37.5 hours)
Roster: Monday - Friday 7:45am - 3:45pm (approx)
Salary Range: SOF Level 3 - $33.17 to $34.58 Gross per hour

St Therese's School Bentley Park
St Therese's Parish School is an integral part of the Cairns Diocese and the Edmonton Parish. Located just 20 minutes south of Cairns City, St Therese's provides Catholic Education to an area that is currently referred to as the 'growth corridor' of Cairns. The school has an enrolment of approximately 620 students, Prep to Year 6, and is proud of its rich historical story as well as the modern facilities that are now available to students.
About the Role
Typical duties performed in this role may include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the enrolment function including handling initial enquiries and arranging interviews
Under supervision, prepare Government and Statutory Authority returns for authorisation by senior management
Use software application packages to create database file structures and spreadsheets/worksheets
Draft agenda for meetings, assemble supporting documents for information meetings, take and produce minutes
Respond to requests for information including drafting routine correspondence in reply
Perform a wide range of secretarial and clerical duties as an advanced level including typing, word processing and maintaining records
Under limited supervision, receive and respond to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and the general public
Enter information and prepare reports for review and authorisation by senior management
Provide administrative support to senior management including arranging appointments and diaries
Assist with the arrangement of group meetings, morning teas, and parent/teacher information nights
Receive, sort, prepare and record documents (eg. Paper and electronic correspondence) on a daily basis
Receive and distribute incoming mail, collect outgoing mail, maintain mail register and records
Monitor and maintain stock levels of stationery/materials for office/department
Make and record appointments on behalf of others, resolving scheduling problems
Carry out liaison between the school, the student and the student's family
Perform tasks associated with preparation and mass production of printed material

Work Requirements

Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
