The Telecommunications service manages telephones and connected platforms (messaging, directory system, etc) underpinning all clinical, support and patient services within a health environment. The SCHHS Telecommunications team currently manages switchboards onsite at Nambour General Hospital (NGH) and Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) which deliver 24/7 customer service in a demanding environment.

The SCHHS Telecommunications team currently manages switchboards onsite at Nambour General Hospital (NGH) and Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) which deliver 24/7 customer service in a demanding environment.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include: 
Manage telecommunications rosters and allocate staff appropriately to cover shifts, including managing emergent and planned leave, prepare and submit payroll and HR forms.Supervise Administration Officer (Switchboard Services) staff in the performance of their duties including mandatory training compliance and performance appraisal and development of staff on an annual basis.Supervise the day-to-day operations of telecommunications operations including workflow, problem resolution in relation to staff issues, operational issues and difficult calls.Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders in the management of issues and support resolution specific to Switchboard Services.Remuneration value up to $110 852 p.a., comprising salary between $3380.20 - $3724.00 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4).
