The Role We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Assistant to support the Student Wellbeing Centre.
In this role, you will assist the Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students, Student Psychologists, and Careers and Pathways Counsellor to ensure seamless operations in supporting the well-being and academic success of students.
Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Administrative Support: Manage electronic diaries, prepare documents, organise events, and maintain records for programs such as pastoral care, scholarship testing, and citisenship awards.
Reception Duties: Provide a welcoming point of contact for students, parents, and external visitors, while handling enquiries and scheduling appointments.
Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing events such as Careers Day, Positive Education initiatives, guest speaker sessions, and QTAC evenings.
Document Management: Maintain electronic databases and ensure accuracy in record-keeping for special provisions, student reviews, and school funding applications.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff to support various programs, liaise with external agencies, and contribute to publications such as newsletters and the Family Handbook.
Resource Coordination: Manage stationery, maintain a tidy office environment, and assist in auditing and funding applications.
Skills and Attributes To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
Advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) and familiarity with database systems (TASS experience is highly regarded).
Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
Initiative, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Professionalism, punctuality, and a high standard of personal presentation.
Qualifications and Requirements Prior experience in an administrative role, ideally within a school or educational setting.
A Blue Card for working with children (or eligibility to obtain one).
Enthusiasm for supporting student well-being and a genuine interest in contributing to the school community.
