Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Greeting all visitors to the site in a courteous and professional mannerAnswering telephone calls promptly and courteously and directing them to appropriate persons, including dialing of external numbers as requestedProviding efficient word processing and clerical services for the site as directed by the relevant managerAccurately maintaining relevant records related to visitors or contractors to siteProviding additional administrative support to staff where requiredAccurately receipting all incoming monies as well as assisting with resident trust accounts and petty cashIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in collaboration with the Administration CoordinatorAbout YouWe are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a reception/administrative role as well as knowledge of office procedures including the handling and accurate receipting of moneyCommitment to continuous improvement, creativity, innovation, and meeting the needs of residentsSound communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to express ideas clearly and conciselyAbility to build strong internal relationships and contribute to the team to foster positive working relationshipsStrong organisational and time management skills including the ability to work with minimal supervisionProficient computer skills using Microsoft programs and ability to use various in-house databases and other software applicationsA basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as applicable to the roleA Certificate in Administrative Services or similar - desirableAbout UsSouthern Cross Care is one of Australia's leading charitable aged care and retirement living service providers.
