This is an exciting opportunity with Blacktown Arts on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Administration Assistant will independently support the Manager of Arts and Cultural Development and the entire section in all administrative tasks ensuring the department operates smoothly, and efficiently.
The successful applicant is expected to possess high-level computer skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
An ideal candidate will also demonstrate good communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and a strong work ethic.
We seek a dynamic individual with advanced organisational skills and excellent attention to detail to join our friendly team.
Qualifications and experience Essential: Certificate III in Business Administration or a related field Suitable experience in an administrative function or similar role High level computer literacy skill in computer software programs including Microsoft Office suite Demonstrated commitment to customer service Proven capacity to work in a high-pressure team environment with competing demands Ability to work within a team environment Availability to work flexible working hours Working with Children Check valid for paid work.
Desirable: Previous experience in an arts environment or demonstrable interest/participation in the arts industry Experience working in local government.
Remuneration and benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
Entry level for this position starts at $1,308.84 per week 35-hour working week  Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
