We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Administration Assistant to join our team, working from our St Peters site.
Delivering exceptional customer service, you will be the welcoming first point of contact for all staff, visitors and most importantly our families and residents.
This is a predominantly customer-facing role, so there is an expectation that the successful candidate will truly model our values of courtesy and kindness.
If you are of Greek heritage, or have a strong understanding of Greek culture, this would also be highly desirable.
Experienced in administration and customer service, you will have the opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, committed to building a culture of continuous improvement in the workplace.
This is a dynamic role where attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and organise your day is key to your ongoing success.
What you'll do and be responsible for: Provide high quality administrative support services (including rostering support for site) Ensure a high standard of customer service by promptly responding to telephone and personal enquiries, in a courteous and professional manner, screening and diverting as needed in person, over the phone, and through email communications (including for any Corporate calls). Maintain professional presentation of the main reception area, ensuring it is warm and welcoming Screen and guide family members when they arrive on-site Liaise with family members, visitors, contractors and various staff members Other projects / general administration tasks as directed. What you'll need to succeed: This role is ideal for someone with experience in reception, administration or a similar customer service type role, who demonstrates initiative, a positive "can-do" attitude, and a strong motivation to be part of a team.
You should have effective communication skills to interact with various internal and external stakeholders, as well as:
Demonstrated personal values that align with St Basil's Homes (SA) values Sensitive and empathetic approach to residents and their families An appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar Administration role (aged care or healthcare highly desirable) Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, and ability to use and learn various other systems (eg.
Quality management system, databases, and rostering systems) Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A flexible approach to work with a self-motivated work style It would be helpful if you: Understood or could speak Greek fluently Had a relevant qualification in Business Administration, or a related field.
