About the Company Southport Surf Lifesaving Club (SSLSC) is one of the largest lifesaving clubs on the Gold Coast. With an associated Supporters Club and our amazing heritage Pavilion café, SSLSC is a vibrant and active club. Our dedicated office team aid club members, our surf lifesaving governing bodies, the Supporters Club, and the community at large. Our teams' efforts are what make our club stand out from the crowd. The Surf Club buildings are located on beautiful Main Beach, Southport.
About the role As Administration Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for members, and a friendly disposition is a must. You will have a full and varied workload and some of your responsibilities will include:
Primarily assisting Surf Sports and Nippers, you will have a range of tasks including, but not limited to:
Front desk receptionMerchandise salesAnswering incoming phone callsResponding to enquiries via emailRespond to member and public enquiries in an efficient, customer focused mannerFoster good relationships between the club and its membersUpdate and monitor the Club's websiteManage all activities associated with Surf SportsManage all activities associated with NippersManage all activities associated with Youth DevelopmentCo-ordination of club events and functionsAttend committee meetings and take minutesUpdate and monitor the Club's social media accountsAdministration supportThe role requires participation in a rotating roster which will incorporate weekend work (Sundays) during the Lifesaving season which operates September-April. Flexible start and finish times may be available to the right applicant.
Ideal candidates will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills and a willingness to help where required. Candidates should be familiar with Office 365.
