About The Facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region.
Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
Located in The Douglas Hocking Research Institute of The University Hospital Geelong, the Bone Densitometry Department provides a specialised scanning service to over 7,000 patients per annum.
The provision of a quality service with a strong customer focus ensures the Department is the leading bone density service in the Barwon and southwest region.
About The Role As a valued member of a busy team, the Receptionist/Administration Officer plays a key role in providing confidential administrative support to the Bone Density Department.
Responsibilities include creating a welcoming environment for patients and visitors, managing phone inquiries and appointments, handling patient registration, processing Medicare-compliant billing and payments, preparing clinic files, distributing results, and collaborating with hospital staff, GPs, and specialists to ensure seamless service delivery.
To excel in this role, you will need excellent computer skills, the ability to organise and adapt to changing demands, exceptional communication skills, and an empathetic approach toward patients.
