Position Description:
Work within a team to support young autistic people to achieve their goals of meaningful employment and living independently. Your role will be to provide administrative support for our programs, including financial tasks.
Be the first point of contact for clients, personnel, and outside agencies through email, phone, or face to face. Maintain reception diary ensuring it is always up to date. Maintain reception and staff areas in a clean and orderly manner, ensuring areas comply with relevant Work Health and Safety standards. Order and maintain stock. Prepare annual accounts for audit and annual reporting. Prepare invoices, purchasing, payroll, and other necessary financial transactions. Work in conjunction with the accountant to ensure all tax and finance requirements are met. Manage finance using the Xero software program. Manage compliance requirements across the business. Work closely with the Director to manage the financial and compliance aspect of the business. Undertake other duties as required, which are relevant to the position as directed by staff of PosAbilities. Personal attributes and skills:

Knowledge of finance and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience in managing accounting, tax, and statutory compliance requirements. Outstanding communication skills, strong work ethic, and capacity to work collaboratively in a team. Experience in an Admin, Finance, and compliance role. Understanding and/or experience with Xero, Asana, and Slack preferential, but not essential. Understanding and/or experience with NDIS preferred but not essential. What do you need?
Up-to-date Working with Children's Check & Police check or willingness to get one. Experience working with neurodivergent young people preferred but not essential as we provide onsite, relevant training plus access to other learning and development opportunities. All our staff must have a positive attitude, work well in a team, have strengths of respect & compassion, and be flexible, innovative, and have a genuine desire to help others. What do we offer?
$27.66/hour, 35 hours per week, as per Clerks Private Sector Award 2020. Hours are negotiable. $15,900 tax-free earning through salary packaging.
