Admin Assistant (legal) role in Bairnsdale. Work with a great team supporting the local community!The Admin Assistant (legal) provides administrative support and reception duties (where required) to a team of lawyers and administrative staff within an office. Responsibilities include updating the corporate case management system, scheduling appointments, and liaising with clients and community groups.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform legal administrative tasks such as audio typing, data entry, file management, and client coordination.Receive client inquiries in-office or at court and refer them to specialists as needed.Provide information and referrals to clients and legal practitioners about services.Update and maintain the case management system, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.Manage client appointments, including video conferencing and telephone bookings.Assist in improving work practices and the day-to-day management of the office, including training new staff.Perform financial administration tasks such as processing invoices and handling cash.Key Selection CriteriaStrong organizational and time management skills.Ability to provide client-focused services in a sensitive environment.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, particularly with disadvantaged groups.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and word processing tools.Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.Qualifications and ExperienceExperience in administrative and/or reception support (ideally in a legal environment).Knowledge of legal procedures and systems is highly desirable.How to ApplyAll applications MUST be received via the GBS Recruitment website (www.gbsrecruitment.com.au),Job #893941 and include a cover letter outlining your experience, by COB Tuesday 8th October 2024.Visa holders will also be required to provide evidence of their Rights to Work in Australia to be considered for these positions.
