Adelaide, Senior Legal Counsel, Corporate Commercial Our client is a highly successful Australian business with current offices interstate.
Due to growth and an extensive portfolio of work in Sydney, they are expanding the business into Adelaide and Perth.
The business is seeking a talented senior corporate commercial lawyer for a pivotal role in the newly established team.
You will report to the Head of Legal and be part of a high performance and close-knit legal team working in a collaborative and flexible environment.
Responsibilities:
Transaction matters such M&A, including the sale and purchase of property
Instructing matters from establishment to scaling to exit strategy
Day-to-day commercial matters including service agreements, commercial contracts, governance, terms and conditions and polices
Intellectual property and
Data and privacy matters
The Successful Candidate:
Relevant law degree with strong academics
Hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia or the High Court of Australia
Influential and values-led legal professional with at least 5 years' post qualification experience
Experience in commercial law, M&A and corporate advisory from a leading law firm
Strong technical legal skills and commercial drafting experience are both essential
A proactive, positive, and energetic approach with a commitment to provide excellent service and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong leadership skills and passionate about being a key member of a high performing team that has a strong focus on customer experience
A desire to support the ongoing expansion of the business through marketing and business development
