Job DescriptionSYPAQ is seeking an Aerial Sensor Operator to work with our Sensors & Surveillance business to assist with the effective conduct of Surveillance and Reconnaissance tasking.
As an Aerial Sensor Operator, your primary role will involve the coordination of airborne sensor equipment and crews to effectively conduct Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions. You will be responsible for coordinating the capture, processing, exploitation, and dissemination of collected information, ensuring that operations are executed safely and efficiently.
This full time role based in Perth and is performed in predominantly onshore environments during daylight hours across a rolling roster. As the Aerial Sensor Operator your duties will include but are not limited to:
Conduct and monitor pre-flight and post-flight safety checks.Execute surveillance tasks, real-time reporting, and data dissemination.Troubleshoot system issues and manage inflight sensor operations.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of flight logs and mission data.Develop and refine processes for ASO operations and relevant training.Maintain comprehensive records of operational and administrative activities.This position will see you work a rolling roster, away from home for periods of time, operating in remote areas and environments within a light aircraft. Ideally, this role is suited to someone with an interest in flying.
