About the role: The position of Mental Health Worker in the Community Mental Health Team is to provide a high standard of mental health practice and interventions within a multidisciplinary team.
The primary responsibility of the Mental Health Worker is to provide support to individuals with multiple complex needs including mental illness, drug and alcohol issues, and homelessness. The role also includes working with the individual consumer, their family and carers, and their support network in the community in a recovery framework.

Selection Criteria:

Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia
Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated experience working within a Community Mental Health Position as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality consumer care and services to support families and carers of people with mental illness
Commitment to provision of recovery-focused holistic mental health interventions.
Excellent computer, written, and verbal communication skills, and effective interpersonal and organisational skills, including using an electronic medical record system.
Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
