An exciting opportunity exists for two enthusiastic Activities Workers to join our client care team in Mornington, Tasmania.
As an Activities Worker, you will assist clients to participate in social support programs that are reflective of the goals and priorities of the clients and meet their care needs.
Social support programs are offered through centre based individual and group programs that are respectful and reflective of the goals and priorities of the clients, as well as through the use of virtual platforms and 1:1 home and community support The ideal candidate must be suitably qualified or have demonstrated experience in providing assistance with respite services to older people.
Effective communication skills are required, particularly when dealing with people with dementia, stroke victims or other disabilities.
About you: You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients , to support them to live life to their potential This is the place for you if you have: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support and Lifestyle and Leisure; current First Aid Certificate with CPR Demonstrated experience in the delivery of social activity programs in a way that supports client independence, via centre based, virtual and 1:1 methods Experience in quality systems and risk management in the Aged Care or Health Sectors Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the B E S T way of life ( Believe, Excel, Support and Trust ) Essentials for working in Aged Care: A current Working With Vulnerable People card Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations Australian working rights Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance Make a positive difference in your community – apply now!
