Actium Building Designers | Drafting Manager

We are a team that specialises in the Residential Building Design sector providing drafting services for one of South Australia's leading Residential Builders.
We provide custom designs for new homes as well as detailed drafting packages for construction.
Building new homes can be a complex and overwhelming yet exciting process for the homeowner, and our goal is to not only create the perfect home design for them but also to provide a high-quality service in design and documentation to make the process as stress-free as possible.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the workload and quality of our drafting team as well as producing concept designs for new homes and drafting detailed working drawing packages for construction.
In managing our drafting team, your main tasks will include:
Delegating and managing workload of staff to prioritise competing priorities Liaising with sales staff to formalise design briefs Drafting checks for quality control of outgoing work and managing staff to minimise errors Training new staff and providing ongoing mentorship The successful applicant will display:
Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD A minimum of 5 years in a senior Drafting Role in the construction industry High level of managing and tracking workload Strong understanding of the NCC and Australian Standards Strong understanding of the residential construction process Ability to problem solve Attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to work with a team This is an onsite role; as such, applicants are required to be in Adelaide.

This role offers an attractive remuneration package based on experience.
