The Estimator's role involves carrying out the estimation for reinstatement works to both domestic and commercial buildings following small to large scale damage caused by insurable events.
Tasks Include: Conducting site assessments to determine cause of damage, scope of works and costingsDetermining policy coverage in accordance with client agreementsWrite scope of works and associated reports to KPI deadlineLiaising with client, customer and Claims Coordinators with any SOW or report related queriesLiaising with internal teams to book in trade attendances (subcontractors and/or specialists)Maintaining an awareness of SLA (service level agreement) and KPIsConduct risk assessments on the potential high risk and hazardous components of each projectKey Professional Skills and Qualifications Desktop /VE/On-road experienceFace to face customer service Communication skills and ability to set expectationsOrganisational abilities to liaise on multiple files at any one timeMulti-tasking with the ability to triage and prioritise accordinglyKnowledge of building regulations and Australian codes and standardsConstruction knowledge including processes and pricingKPI driven and task focusedSoftware Knowledge: Xactimate is highly desirableFull Driving license is essentialWork for a reputable insurance builder with career growth opportunities.Flexible hybrid WFH options after probation.JB HI-FI Discounts.Regular Trade Discounts.BUPA Health Insurance Discounts.Access to 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for you and your family.Be part of a values driven environment with people who want to make a difference.
