About you:
You have relevant and recognised tertiary qualifications.
Have a passion for teaching and education and support a student-centred approach to learning.
Havetheexpertise and the ability to teach across a broad age and ability range.
Demonstrate knowledge and successful application of the Australian Curriculum and outcomes-based learning.
Have positive classroom management skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Proven experience establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents/carers.
Are committed to supporting the wellbeing of students.

Eligibility requirements for employment
To be eligible to be employed as a teacher in an ACT public school, you must:
Education qualifications – Have an approved four-year full-time tertiary education qualification.
Applicants with qualifications gained outside of Australia should complete a skills assessment by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) to confirm qualification requirements and English language proficiency to teach in Australian schools.

Teacher registration – Hold a valid approval to teach with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
If you do not hold a teacher registration with the ACT TQI, we suggest starting yourapplication process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Teachers holding registration in another Australian state or territory or New Zealand are eligible for mutual recognition.
Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration – Have a valid ACT WWVP.
