The Position: We are looking to identify a Fire Designer / Fire Sprinkler Designer who will work directly for the Engineering Consultancy for a range of Fire Engineering projects.
Preparing schematic design documentation for fire sprinkler and fire hydrant services. Preparing calculations for various sprinkler and fire hydrant systems. Conducting site inspections. Preparing reports. Managing projects in partnership with the Fire and Hydraulic design teams. The Requirements Ideally a minimum of 2-4 years experience in a fire design / fire sprinkler / fire hydrant design capacity across Building projects. An industry qualification in Fire Engineering or a related field (diploma, degree, etc.). A solid understanding and experience gained using AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Solid understanding of fire engineering principles, terminology, and design standards. Commercial acumen, the ability to support the running of projects within time and cost. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
