About the role
As a
senior consultant in the Canberra Office , you will work across all aspects of its economic and public policy advisory portfolio:
Development of methodologies and proposals
Gathering and analysing information
Client liaison and management
Research, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
A selection of our active and recent projects managed by the Canberra team include:
Economic impact assessments of large publicly funded research programs
Impact assessments of proposed regulations
Evaluations of grant programs
Strategic assessments of public infrastructure
Cost-benefit analyses of government initiatives.
ACIL Allen provides all consultants with the opportunity to be involved in the full lifecycle of a client engagement, from developing scopes through to presenting final reports and advice. About you
To be considered for this position, you must:
Be able to work with or model economic, financial or other data and develop insights through your own analysis and unique perspectives.
Have the capability to communicate the insights persuasively through our reporting tools and in meetings and conversations with current and prospective clients.
Work both independently and as part of a team to shape the advice we provide.
Have a well-rounded skillset that allows you to work across all facets of an advisory practice.
Experience in economics, regulation or public policy advice in a consulting or advisory environment is strongly desired, given our current and prospective book of work.
Be willing to work collaboratively and in an ethical manner.
About your qualifications and skills
3+ years' experience in economics and/or public policy in a consulting, government-funded service, or advisory environment.
Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or economics-based discipline (such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, or Economics), or public policy or public administration.
Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, with expertise in other analytical toolkits desirable.
