Key Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering world-class structural engineering solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Provide mechanical engineering services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Take responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining structural engineering files, drawings, and documentation. Ensure all designs and analyses comply with relevant Australian standards, regulations, and industry best practices. Work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. Oversee the successful execution of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. Key Tasks: As part of your role, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing key tasks such as:
Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using advanced engineering software and tools. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for mechanical and structural projects. Review and assess the feasibility, mechanical integrity, and safety of designs and proposals. Participate in site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs within the overall project framework. Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations relevant to structural engineering and mechanical design. Key Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:
A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong experience in structural mechanical design, analysis, and engineering services. Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar. A solid understanding of Australian engineering standards and regulations. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing client relationships. Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
