EOI|APS6/EL1 - Workplace Relations Specialist Ongoing/Non-ongoing The Branch ONI's Workforce Branch is a vibrant, supportive, and collaborative branch that strives to deliver excellent customer service through modern and flexible HR practices. The Branch is responsible for delivering workplace relations, recruitment, workforce reporting, payroll, learning and development, and WHS services for ONI.
The Role ONI is seeking an experienced Workplace Relations Specialist to join the People Strategy and Policy Section – a team that will support you in your role and help you shine as a workplace relations professional in a prestigious intelligence agency.

Key duties in the role may include:
Developing, implementing, and reviewing workplace policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with relevant employment legislation and best practices. Providing expert advice on industrial relations and/or WHS matters, including workplace agreements, enterprise bargaining, dispute resolution, and work health and safety. Investigating complex policy queries and providing advice. Staying up-to-date on changes in employment legislation and WHS legislation, and providing recommendations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Developing and delivering communication campaigns to educate employees and managers on workplace relations and/or WHS policies and procedures. Building, nurturing, and supporting relationships with stakeholders and providers to deliver successful outcomes. Key Attributes To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
Proven experience as a Workplace Relations Specialist or similar role, preferably within the Commonwealth sector. Sound knowledge of industrial relations legislation, policies, and procedures. General knowledge of, or interest in, WHS legislation. Demonstrated experience in delivering workplace agreements (either determinations, individual flexibility arrangements, and/or enterprise agreements). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic advice on industrial matters. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
