About the role:
Our financial team at Uniting AgeWell is growing and we seek an Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team on a permanent Full Time basis. As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for a range of various Accounts Receivable related duties including:
Perform AR related duties in accordance with the cyclical calendar for processing
Setup of complete and accurate debtor records
Provision of accurate accounts receivable data when requested
Ensure resident and clients fees and charges information is accurately updated in a timely manner
Ensure resident and clients fees and charges are reconciled and variances are investigated and resolved
Undertake accurate and timely resident and client billing and refunds
Ensure fees and charges are in accordance with contractual, policy and legislative guidelines
Regularly monitor the completeness and accuracy of all records and master files, as they relate to AR
Respond to enquiries from residents and clients, and facility/managers and staff in a timely manner
Monitor relevant changes to Aged Care legislation and relevant Retirement Villages legislation and implement any necessary changes to procedures

Experience in the health or aged care sector preferred
Experience in accounts receivable, debt collection and general finance administration
Experience and expertise in timely and accurate accounting service delivery
Experience in accounting packages
Expertise in a range of accounting tasks particularly accounts receivable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a diverse range of people, including older people or those who have disabilities
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate with all levels of users
Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
