As Tassal's new Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager - Accounting Operations, managing the exposure and cash flow for accounts receivable and providing support to a range of stakeholders. You will work full time, Monday – Friday, and be based in our beautiful Hobart office, located on Franklin Wharf.
What does your week look like? Problem Solving: You are the kind of person who 'thinks outside the box'. You are great at finding solutions to problems and improving processes and procedures.
Collections: You will be responsible for monitoring outstanding invoices, following up with stakeholders regarding payments, reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies. Your direct approach and ability to stand your ground will be essential skills to ensure this is done in a timely manner.
Tracking Invoices and Payments: Your knowledge of financial literacy and accounting principles will help you to ensure accurate tracking of invoices and payments.
Records & Invoices: You will use your strong attention to detail to maintain precise financial records. You will prepare and issue invoices accurately and on time.
Building and Maintaining Relationships: Have positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Keeping everyone up to date on current and emerging issues and providing customer feedback and insights as needed. Your strong communication and customer service skills will be essential for resolving payment issues and maintaining positive client relationships.
Compliance: Ensuring all internal financial processes comply with external standards and regulations.
Reporting: Completing reports and sub-ledgers in a timely manner.
What You'll Need: Experience in an Accounts Receivable role, or an equivalent qualification. Technological proficiency with accounting software and excellent Microsoft Office skills. Effective time management and problem-solving abilities to help in managing workloads and addressing discrepancies efficiently.
