About the role
Based at our Forth site in Tasmania, you will be part of the Accounting and Finance team reporting to our Payroll & Accounts Receivable Manager. Our Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for delivering a high-quality accounts receivable & reporting service to key business areas of Harvest Moon. You will leverage your knowledge of finance systems, credit management & processing to ensure an efficient and effective accounts receivable function for the company.
Key responsibilities
Processing our daily receipts in an accurate & timely manner, ensuring customer payments are correctly recorded in our finance system.
Raising invoices and credit notes as required in compliance with company guidelines.
Reconciling customer accounts, investigating discrepancies and collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to obtain the required information to resolve.
Processing and lodgment of claims with the Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme (TFES).
Providing exceptional customer service and advice to all key internal and external stakeholders.
Ensuring the timely and effective resolution of queries and issues that may arise from customers and other stakeholders.
About you
With a penchant for detail and a focus on quality outputs and getting things right, you will possess the following skills, experience & qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years with a preference of 5 years' experience working in a busy finance team.
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Knowledge of payroll systems & processing, awards, tax, and legislation would be highly regarded.
Great organisational skills with an ability to manage various tasks/projects at one time.
Ability to be flexible in a varied and constantly changing business with a determination to succeed in a challenging and competitive industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Analytical skills to interpret & comprehend financial & non-financial data.
