About the Role:
The Accounts Payable Team Lead will oversee a small team, managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable function for CDC, ensuring payment obligations are met and maintaining high-quality supplier relationships.
Additionally, the role involves managing the procurement process for Purchase Orders (PO), and triaging and resolving inquiries in compliance with the organisation's procurement guidelines.
Other Responsibilities include:
Manage the day-to-day operations and workflow of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring efficient service delivery and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Review and manage payments, assist Treasury with cash flow forecasting, and complete month-end processing within agreed time frames.
Raise Purchase Orders (POs) efficiently and accurately, send remittances to suppliers, and collaborate with the broader Finance team on period-end Journals, particularly those related to Accruals and Expenses.
Lead the team in delivering efficient business services and participate in the financial control leadership team to foster effective working relationships across Finance.
Initiate process improvements to enhance service delivery and attend relevant team and stakeholder meetings to ensure excellent engagement and communication.
About you:
This role requires an approachable, knowledgeable leader with proven experience in leading an Accounts Payable team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders.
They should also have the confidence to handle complex invoice inventory and validation when necessary.
Possesses strong people skills with a focus on providing quality customer service, and excellent communication abilities at all levels.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience in analysing data and identifying areas for improvement in Accounts Payable, with a working knowledge of GST classification.
Demonstrates excellent time management skills, the ability to manage conflicting priorities, and deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely outcomes.
Proficient in MS 365 Suite and experience using Yardi or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.

Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance
