Position SummaryReporting to the Director – Financing Reporting, the Accounts Payable Supervisor plans, organizes and manages the day-to-day operations and activities of a centralized Accounts Payable department. The incumbent assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining high standards of service in the management of fiscal, human and material resources for the department.
The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
QualificationsDegree/Diploma in Business Administration from an accredited business program, majoring in AccountingKnowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook, with particular competency in the creation and modification of excel spreadsheetsKnowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software an assetTwo (2) years recent relevant and supervisory experiencePrevious Accounts Payable experience an assetPrevious project work experiences an assetDemonstrated strong communication skills both in oral and written formatDemonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and direct activitiesDemonstrated effective time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationshipsDemonstrated ability to work with multiple priorities and competing deadlines, with frequent interruptionsDemonstrated ability and willingness to promote positive changeDemonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediumsGiven the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is requiredProficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positionsDemonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the jobDemonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediumsGood work and attendance recordConditions of EmploymentRequires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00Southern Health-Santé Sud, in partnership with the Indigenous community, is committed to increasing the representation of Indigenous people within all levels of our workforce.
