This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that has experienced organic growth. Working in a busy but friendly environment the role would suit an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor who has a high attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a passion for process improvement.

About your new job

The role will see you work closely with the Financial Controller to achieve team goals and manage their creditors ledger. You will:

Lead and motivate a small team of Accounts Payable OfficersAssign responsibilities and tasks to ensure objectives are met on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisAssist your team in resolving invoice issues with Transportation, Warehouse, Purchasing, Maintenance, and other support functionsTrain and mentor staff in department procedures and daily tasks providing advice where requiredCommunicate with Suppliers on accounts payable inquiries and resolving in a timely mannerOversee controls and month-end reportingEnsure compliance with applicable AP, expense, and internal approval policiesAct as an escalation point for internal and external queriesReview Supplier Statement reconciliations and finalise payment runsParticipate in any active company projects focused on process and procedure improvementEnsure Creditors ledger is in line with agreed vendor termsPerform ad-hoc tasks as required
About You

You will be an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor with hands-on experience. To be successful in this role you will ideally have exposure to the following:
Previous background in leading an Accounts Payable teamExposure in FMCG, Manufacturing, or distribution industriesStrong reconciliation skillsIdeally exposure to automated invoicing systemsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to build relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholdersPassion for system and process improvement
